About Urban Transport Department:
This directorate works as a Single window service provider, for the technical clearance and safety certification of Full Metro System coming up in India consisting of Civil Infrastructure , OHE , Signaling and the Rolling Stock (Electrical and Mechanical Both). Interim Speed Certificates are issued for operation of the rolling stock after the technical clearance of all the systems and after successful Oscillation & EBD trials conducted by Testing Directorate.
