About UT Department:
This directorate works as a Single window service provider, for the technical clearance and safety certification of Full Metro System coming up in India consisting of Civil Infrastructure , OHE , Signaling and the Rolling Stock (Electrical and Mechanical Both). Interim Speed Certificates are issued for operation of the rolling stock after the technical clearance of all the systems and after successful Oscillation & EBD trials are conducted by Testing Directorate.

Brief achievement of the Directorate in the last one year:

UT directorate has developed an Online Portal in November 2020 for Submission, scrutiny & approval of all the technical Documents of Metro systems. This makes the whole process 100 % paper less.

The Portal got formally inaugurated by CRB & CEO Railway Board Shri Suneet Sharma on 28.08.2021.
