International Day of Yoga -2022 Celebrated at RDSO
International Yoga Day -2022 was organized in RDSO/Lucknow under the theme "Yoga for Humanity" on 21.06.2022. Yoga is an ancient ascetic practice originated in India that combines physical, mental and spiritual pursuits to achieve harmony of the body and mind. There are numerous benefits of practicing yoga regularly. The first Yoga day was celebrated on June 21, 2015.
On this occasion a Yoga practice session was organized in RDSO with great enthusiasm and vigor. The main function was organized at Officers Club RDSO and more than 100 officers and their family members practiced yoga with great enthusiasm under the guidance of yoga teacher Smt. Uma Rawat. Shri Sanjiv Bhutani, DG/ RDSO sworn in the yoga oath to the officers and their family members and reiterated the importance of yoga.
A similar function was also organized at Badminton Court and about 100 RDSO staff and their family members participated in this program with great enthusiasm and zeal under the guidance of yoga teacher Shri Suresh Sharma. About 50 officials also joined the 45 minute yoga program through webcast that was organized as per the Common yoga protocol issued by the ministry of AYUSH, Government of India. The prime minister’s address on yoga day was also broadcast on this occasion.
